Permanent Part Time hours: 35 hours per week - term time only
Pay Scale 3: Scale Point 5 or 6
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £23,500 - 23,893
Working Hours: 8:40am - 3:10pm Monday to Friday
Broomfield Primary School is seeking to appoint a number of experienced Learning Support Assistants to our hard working and dedicated school team. We are looking for professionals to support pupils throughout the school, working with both individuals and groups. The posts also include lunchtime supervision. Candidates will need to demonstrate previous experience in working with children with SEND in either EYFS/KS1 or KS2, or across the primary age range.
The successful candidates will possess:
· a high standard of English and Maths skills, including phonics training
· knowledge of the primary curriculum and how to differentiate learning objectives for a child with barriers to learning
· proven relevant experience
· the ability to interact successfully with pupils
· to be prepared to support with intimate care should this be required
· the ability to inspire and motivate
· evidence of collaborative working with a range of professionals and parents
· high expectations of both themselves and others
· effective behaviour management strategies
· an understanding of the factors that impact on a child's emotional well-being.
