HARWICH AND DOVERCOURT HIGH SCHOOL

STUDENT SUPPORT COORDINATOR

Pay Range: Local Government Scale 6

Actual Salary from: £9,215 - £9,865 (Points 13-17)

This post is: 14 hours and 48 minutes per week, 39 weeks per year (Term Time, plus non-pupil days)

Days of the week are flexible and will be discussed within interview

Start Date: TBC

The Role

This is a student facing administrative role that is designed to support and facilitate effective home school relationships for students within Key Stage 4.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • To support, create and maintain effective working relationships with a professional boundary with parents.
  • To enable the implementation of the school Preparedness Agenda through swift communication of need.
  • To support the Key Stage in the collection of narratives from students.
  • To support the Key Stage in the smooth running of everyday school life by collecting pupils when necessary and delivering items to classrooms when necessary.

We're looking for you if you have:

  • GCSE A - C (or equivalent) Maths and English
  • Understand procedures and legislation relating to confidentiality
  • Understand the importance of physical and emotional wellbeing
  • Ability to understand and support children with developmental difficulty or disability
