Positive Behavioural Support Officer
Location: Harlow College
Full-Time (37 hours) - term time only

We are currently seeking a dynamic and proactive Student Liaison Officer (Positive Behavioural Support) to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Undertake morning/lunchtime entrance gate and daily campus-wide rota duties as required.
· Identify and challenge misconduct using a range of interventions and mediation strategies.
· Support the College's drive for the wearing of ID badges by challenging, recording, and monitoring non-compliance.
· Liaise closely with curriculum teams regarding issues related to student behaviour and conduct.
· Maintain a high profile in student open areas and across campus to ensure students have access to a safe and secure environment.
· Collaborate with Student Services and Safeguarding teams to develop, facilitate, and deliver effective interventions supporting students' social and emotional well-being.
· Provide initial 1:1 support for students exhibiting anti-social behaviour, especially those undergoing the student disciplinary procedure.
· Actively recruit students to participate in enrichment and student voice activities.
· Act as a mentor for students, providing support and signposting to advice and guidance services.
Essential Requirements:
· Education to level 2 standard including English and Maths
· Hold a qualification in youth work or similar
· Hold a current L2 Safeguarding certificate
· Ability to think clearly, stay calm in times of stress and remain objective
· Ability to resolve conflict and deal with criticism
