Part-time SEN Learning Support Assistant required 2nd September 2024.
Scale 3, Point 5-6
Working Monday to Thursday from 9.00am to 1.00pm, term time only. Fixed term contract for 1 year.
Are you patient, caring, willing to learn, adaptable and committed to children?
We are looking for a part-time SEN LSA to support a child with specific additional needs in a mainstream year 1 class.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Targeted support to enable full access to the learning environment throughout the school day, including lunchtimes.
- Support the child with their personal needs which would include communication and intimate care.
- Delivery of a personalised learning plan including speech and language and physical development.
- Contribution to meetings with professionals and the SENCO.
We are looking for someone who has:
- The ability to communicate with other members of staff effectively.
- The ability to build strong professional relationships.
- Assist with the planning of learning activities by identifying and preparing resources required to support lesson plans, learning outcomes.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to use your own initiative.
- Good behaviour management skills.
- Good basic English and Mathematics (minimum GCSE preferably A-C, 9-4)
- A passion for the impact teaching and learning can have on improving life
- A commitment to supporting the delivery of education at the highest standard
- At least two years experience of working in a classroom environment.
