Attendance and Pastoral Administrator

Contract term: Permanent

Start date: Immediate start

Contract type: Part Time - 37 hours per week (term time + inset days)

Working Pattern: 8am - 4pm

Salary: Scale 3 point 5 - 6 Actual salary: £20993 - £21616

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an Attendance and Pastoral Administrator to join our Attendance team. School is not easy for every child and missing school can put children off learning, cause anxiety and make school more challenging than it needs to be. Under the direction of our Attendance Officer and Trust Attendance officer, your role will be to support and challenge our families to create a strong attendance culture within our school.

The school was inspected by Ofsted in September 2022 and to quote the Lead Inspector 'This is a very good school with an outstanding Sixth Form'. "Leaders have designed the curriculum well. They have ambitious aims for what pupils should know to be ready for their next stage." "Leaders prioritise reading. They ensure pupils who struggle with reading get all the help they need. The successful candidate will:

● Understand the impact poor attendance has on a pupil's life chances and be determined to make a difference.

● Support the attendance officer to monitor and follow up on attendance and punctuality

● Ensure that daily attendance information is entered accurately onto the system

● Sign students in and out of the building

● Contact parents/carers of students by letter, telephone and email

● Support the administration of suspensions and managed moves

● Support the Heads of Year with parents' evenings and other events

● Experience of working with an attendance environment

● Knowledge of SIMS

● Competent IT skills
