Dedham Church of England Primary School is a one-form entry rural school with a fantastic community and family feel. We are looking to appoint an aspirational, energetic and driven professional, who is passionate about SEND and Inclusion to join our school from September 2024. A September start is ideal but we are willing to be flexible for the right candidate.You will bring an innovative and creative approach to supporting and enhancing SEN provision and effectively managing and developing the progress and achievement of our SEND pupils.
The successful applicant will ideally have previous experience working as a SENDCo, including the relevant qualification and experience. However, we would consider applications from outstanding classroom practitioners who are passionate about SEND and have a willingness to undertake the relevant qualification.
The successful candidate will:
· be passionate about inclusion and special educational needs
· be an exemplary primary school teacher
· be an excellent communicator with children, colleagues, governors, external agencies and professionals and parents
· have knowledge of effective teaching and learning styles and how they can be used effectively for individual children
· have a proven track record of improving learning and progress for all children
· be able to lead colleagues to further develop provision for SEND pupils
· have the skills to support and train staff to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH as well as other needs eg ASD, ADHD
· have excellent planning and organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
· have excellent knowledge of the curriculum and SEND Code of Practice
· have resilience and the ability to work under pressure
· provide inspiring leadership for SEND provision across the school, working alongside SLT
· be sympathetic to the Christian ethos of the school.

This position is for three days per week with the days to be agreed between the school and the applicant.
