We are looking for an inspiring peripatetic LAMDA Teacher, to join our established team of peripatetic staff who work at Thorpe Hall School. You will be a LAMDA teacher with the ability and passion to interest and inspire children of all ages who want to begin their journey with individual and group lessons.Hours will vary depending on uptake of LAMDA lessons by pupils.

Job description

Tasks and Duties would include:

  • Teach LAMDA lessons to students of various ages in accordance to the current LAMDA syllabi

  • To deliver imaginative, interactive and inspiring lessons that ensure that effective learning takes place and pupils make excellent progress
  • To maintain regular and productive communication with head of performing arts to report on progress, sanctions and achievements
  • To be accountable for pupil progress and attainment levels of pupils who receive LAMDA lessons
  • To deliver imaginative, interactive and inspiring instrumental lessons that ensure that effective learning takes place and pupils make excellent progress
  • To actively support LAMDA showcase events, festivals and competitions at the school
  • To be active in issues of staff and pupil welfare and support
  • To demonstrate a commitment to Equality of Opportunity for all members of the school's community
  • Source and resource interesting and appropriate learning materials such as play texts, excerpts and prose.
  • Thoroughly prepare students for LAMDA examinations and showcases.
  • To contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and care of children and young people with regard to Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)

The duties above are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and the post holder may be required by the Headteacher to carry out appropriate duties within the context of the job, skills and grade.
