Catering Assistant
Salary: Essex Scale 2 Point 3 - 4
£11,565.14 - £11,756.91 actual salary per annum
Plus £350.27 outer fringe allowance per annum

22 hours and 30 minutes per week
Monday - Friday 9:45am - 2:15pm
38 weeks of the year - term time only

Start Date: September 2024


At Brentwood County High School, we are dedicated to providing nutritious and delicious meals to our students. Our friendly and dynamic catering team plays a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for the school community. We are currently seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join us as a Catering Assistant.

As a Catering Assistant, you will be an integral part of our catering team, working under the guidance of our experienced Cook. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting in the preparation and cooking of meals.
Helping with the delivery and serving of food to students and staff.
Ensuring all areas are kept clean and hygienic.
Clearing away food and cleaning up after service.
Supporting the Cook and other catering staff in day-to-day operations.

Requirements:
No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
A motivated and hardworking attitude.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
