St Marys C of E Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a Forest School Leader to join the team as soon as possible.
The hours will be 9am to 3pm with a 30 minute break, 2 x days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays preferable however we can be flexible on days). 11 hours per week, term time only for 38 weeks per year (plus 1 inset day).
Salary Scale 6 Point 13 (Range 13 to 17) Actual starting salary £6,680 per annum (April 2024 Payrise pending), includes paid annual leave which must be taken during school closure periods.

We are looking to appoint an experienced and qualified Forest School Leader to plan, prepare and deliver purposeful and productive activities for children in a Forest School setting, as part of the PE Curriculum and our wider work in supporting children's social, emotional and mental health.
We are looking for someone who:
· is qualified with a 'Level 3 Forest Schools Programme Leadership Certificate' and has an understanding of the Forest School philosophy.
· can deliver forest school sessions and has experience in planning and leading a variety of forest school sessions.
· has knowledge, understanding and practical experience of sustainable woodland management and education within the outdoor environment.
· has a love of the outdoors and nature, with a willingness to work exclusively out of doors, on uneven surfaces and in unpredictable weather conditions.
· holds a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate (or be willing to undertake the training).
