Job Description

Lawford Mead Primary & Nursery School is seeking to recruit an experienced and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant who will cover teacher absence and release time in KS2 - Y5/6 when needed, as well as supporting pupils' learning. This HLTA will also supervise and support children for half of the lunch period when needed and not covering classes.

Scale 6 point 13 - 17

Salary £26,873 - £28,770 (actual salary £19,458 - £20,831)

Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm term time only plus inset days. 31 hours 15 minutes per week.

We are looking for a colleague with:

• a passion for supporting children's social and emotional wellbeing as well as learning
• experience as a learning support assistant/teaching assistant within Key Stage 2 (Y5/6)
• experience covering classes
• secure subject knowledge in English and maths
• the ability to work effectively in a team and inspire others
