16-hour - Teaching Assistants
Scale 3 point 5-6
Salary - £7,998 - £8,144 pro rata
10.00am to 1.12pm or 11.48am to 3.00pm(16 hours per week/3h12m per day)
Immediate start available, with some flexibility
We are excited to expand our team of support staff and our midday team through this role. The role would include working with children at a whole class level, small groups and one to one as well as covering lunchtimes.
We are looking to appoint a new 16-hour Teaching Assistant to work as part of our growing and supportive team, driving improvement and supporting the learning and play of all children at Trinity Road Primary School in our inclusive community. Successful candidates may discuss whether the morning or afternoon hours are more suitable. This is not shift work and the session will be directed by the employer.
The post involves working with individuals, groups and whole classes of children and may be within different classes or age groups, according to the changing needs of learners. The role includes the school's lunchtime period, and you would be part of the supervision of lunchtime and play both inside and outside. This will require someone who is flexible and open minded yet also seeks to ensure the best outcomes for children. It is a good opportunity to understand both child development and academic journeys for our young people as well as support their learning, play and development. This role will include working with all children across our primary setting including children from 4 to 11 years.
You will need:
- A commitment to meeting the needs of all pupils, including more able pupils and those with a Special Educational Needs and English as an additional Language.
- To work flexibly and be adaptable to work across the school
- Be well organised and work in a timely way
- To be proactive and willing to learn and apply new skills
- Work well as part of a team working with senior leaders, class teachers and families.
- To be invested in supporting children's play and social development, as well as their learning and academic achievement
- A secure grasp
- To be self- motivated, intuitive and accountable
