Site Manager and Senior Site Manager roles

Contract type: Permanent

Contract term: Full-time

Salary:

· Senior Site Manager (Scale 7 - £32,061 to £35,412)
· Site Manager (Scale 5 - £26,824 to £28,142)

Start date: Immediate

Working hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with a range of shift patterns to be discussed and agreed with successful candidates

We are looking to appoint hardworking, energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable and well organised people, with a can-do and customer-focused attitude to join our team. We have roles available for a Site Manager and a Senior Site Manager.

The roles will be based at one of our academies in Harlow but our successful candidates may be required to work across more than one school.

The Site Manager role involves taking responsibility for security of the buildings and site, including Health and Safety compliance, non-specialist maintenance and repairs, grounds work, managing contractors and general porterage. The post holder will be responsible for the cleaning of designated areas on a daily basis in conjunction with other cleaning staff.

The Senior Site Manager role involves assisting the Estates Manager in maintaining a safe, functioning environment with a strong focus on compliance with statutory regulations, across all of the NET Schools. As well as these cross-Trust duties, the role will involve contributing to the smooth running of one or more of our schools by providing a site management service including organising and managing the cleaning team and undertaking effective supervision, caretaking, maintenance, Health & Safety and security of the site and related resources.

For the Senior Site Manager role, previous site management experience is essential and experience of managing and supervising other staff would be helpful.

For the Site Manager role, previous site management experience in a school is not essential. Instead, we are looking for someone with the right attitude and with abilities in routine maintenance and handy-person skills and with the ability to learn.

Our successful candidates will:

· Be honest, reliable and hardworking and able to work using their own initiative

· Have good DIY and premises skills and be able to carry out minor repairs and jobs competently

· Be willing to attend relevant courses to develop their expertise

· Be good at prioritising and meeting deadlines and to work independently

· Be committed to achieving high standards in their work

· Be flexible and cheerful and enjoy working with children, parents, governors and staff

· Be a good team player, be pro-active and willing to become involved in all aspects of school life

· Have basic IT skills

· Have a full driver's licence, and an ability to travel to other schools in the Trust.

Annual leave to be mostly taken during school closure periods, with up to five days available during term time. The roles may involve working early shifts from 7:00am, and later shifts up to 6:00pm and shift patterns will be discussed with successful candidates.

Potential applicants are both welcome and encouraged to visit the Trust. Please contact the NET Academies Central Office by telephone on 01279 421567 Ext. 1.

In compliance with Safer Recruitment guidelines, CVs cannot be accepted.

NET Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As part of the Safer Recruitment process all shortlisted applicants will be subject to social media checks. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
