Are you passionate about helping young people reach their full potential? Doucecroft School, part of Autism Anglia, are looking for Bank Learning Support Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated team.
The successful Bank LSA will aim to inspire and encourage learners to develop their knowledge and confidence across multiple educational disciplines, facilitating asupportiveand safe environment for learning.This is a Bank (zero-hours) contract with opportunities for regular shifts, though hours are not guaranteed.

What the role involves
- Provide directsupportto our learners in their learning environment in both a group andindividualsetting
- Taking anactiverole in a wide range of classroom and physical activities throughout the academic year; assisting and working closely with the Class Teacher and Teaching Assistant to contribute to lessons
- Gain excellent on-the-job trainingtogetherwith continued professional development,support, and supervision
- Supportingthe class teacher in educational visits and school journeys and accompanying learners on visits
- Working with learners at lunchtime and supervising break times
- To comply with and promote to others, the policies and procedures relating to the school, specifically those relating tochildprotection n, safeguarding, health and safety, securityconfidentiality, and data protection
- Potential driving responsibilities
What we're looking for
- NVQ Level 3SupportingTeaching and Learning is highly desirable but not essential
- Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above
- Relevant experience working with learners with autism or learning disabilities in an educational setting is highly advantageous
- Driving license highly desirable
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with patience,enthusiasm, and a genuine passion forsupportingyoung people.

Information about the School
Doucecroft School is a specialist co-educational school for children and young people with autism and additional complex needs, age 3 –19 years. Established in 1973, we are experienced and successful in meeting the needs of students with wide-ranging strengths and needs, providing a nurturing environment where students are able to thrive and grow in independence and self-esteem.
Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy are provided on-site by our experienced therapy team.
