About the Role

We have an Assistant Academy Manager vacancy in Health and Science due to the existing manager leaving the college. This team consists of Health and Social Care, and Applied Sciences and delivers qualification from levels 1-3. This includes the Health T Level and also introducing this year the Science T Level. In September we are launching our new Health Science Academy in partnership with Princess Alexandra Hospital, Community Dental Services and EPUT (Essex Partnership University Trust). We are looking for a manager who will continue this great work and develop our Health Academy further, who will sit on our Health Science Advisory board and drive forward the new curriculum post the government reforms.

To do well in this role, you'll need good attention to detail, a solid track record of following processes, and experience in managing people effectively. You should be a great communicator, a team player, and confident working with others. We're looking for someone who lives our values - putting students at the heart, working well in a team, being ambitious for the future, and showing respect in the way that you work.

To be considered for this role you must have:

• A teaching qualification at Level 4 or above

• A relevant qualification at Level 4 or above, or vocationally relevant industry standard

qualifications; ideally in the team area for which you are applying, desirable but not essential.

• Experience in curriculum development and or developing teaching and learning

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A growth mindset and strong emotional intelligence
