Kents Hill Junior School is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and inspiring 11+ Tutor to work alongside our school as part of our new Academic Excellence Programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality 11+ tuition to our pupils, working collaboratively with the school to raise aspirations, build confidence and open up opportunities for every child.
The role
- Monday-Friday, term time
- 12:30pm-4:00pm or 1:00pm-4:00pm
- Pay dependent on experience, up to £30 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and personalised 11+ sessions.
- Work collaboratively with the school to complement and enhance our existing curriculum and provision.
- Support pupils in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for 11+ examinations.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
- Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment where every child is supported to achieve their best.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and work professionally alongside school staff.
- Communicate effectively with the school regarding pupil progress, needs and next steps.
We are looking for someone who is:
- An experienced teacher or tutor with strong subject knowledge and an understanding of 11+ preparation.
- Passionate about academic excellence and raising aspirations.
- Creative, caring and committed to helping every pupil succeed.
- Able to deliver high-quality, engaging tuition that builds both ability and confidence.
- Collaborative and professional, with the ability to work effectively alongside a school and its existing staff and provision.
