Trust Recruitment Support Assistant
Casual Contract
Salary: Thurrock Band B Point 7
£15.42 per hour (including holiday pay)
Start date: May 2026
We are looking to appoint a Casual Recruitment Support Assistant to provide flexible administrative support to our Central HR Team on an as-and-when basis, to help manage peaks in workload and provide cover during periods of absence. This role will initially run until August 2026, and you will need to be available between the core working hours of 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday, to support our HR Office in Stanford Le Hope.
You will be comfortable using a range of systems, including Microsoft Office and candidate tracking software, and will demonstrate strong IT skills. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, able to work independently, and takes pride in "getting the job done" with minimal supervision. A flexible, can-do attitude and the ability to prioritise workload efficiently are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes, including drafting adverts, coordinating interviews and completing pre-employment checks.
- Producing and maintaining staff files.
- Responding to telephone and email enquiries from prospective candidates.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise workload and work using your own initiative.
- A professional and confidential approach when handling sensitive information.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Confident in working with a variety of IT systems on a daily basis, including Microsoft Office and candidate tracking platforms.
