We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our superb team of support staff. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and bright individual to work with the wonderful children in our school. This post will be specifically working with children with Special Educational Needs.

Teaching Assistant SEND Support in the Infant School

Start: September 2026

Salary: Scale 3 £25,989 to £26,403 (actual salary £20,323.48 to £20,647.23)

39 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days)

Fixed term contract until July 2027 in the first instance

Full-time role 33.75 hours 8.30am-3.45pm Monday to Friday (job share could be considered)

Information about the School

R A Butler Academy is a vibrant school located in the heart of the market town of Saffron Walden and a core school of the Saffron Academy Trust. Although technically two schools, Infant and Junior, we work as one and are led by one Headteacher. We have 90 children in each year group with a capacity of 630. Our site is spacious and well-resourced. Staff are well supported and the school is committed to career development.
