We are looking to appoint highly motivated, friendly, enthusiastic, flexible, efficient and experienced Teaching Assistant from September 2024.
The role will involve working alongside teachers and supporting children in either mainstream classrooms or the Speech and Language Resource Base.
We are a welcoming, friendly and supportive school with exceptionally well behaved, happy, polite and hardworking children.
We are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant who have the following attributes:
• Proven experience in working with pupils with significant needs
• Willing to be trained to administer procedures to children with medical needs (more information on request)
• a particular interest in Speech, Language and Communication if interested in supporting children in our Speech and Language Resource Base
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in working with a range of interventions
• An ability to work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
• Positive and calm approach to managing behaviour
• A solid understanding of safeguarding practices
• Ability to work as part of a team and show initiative
In addition, someone who is confident in covering a class, on occasion, in the event of teacher absence would be advantageous.

We are looking for candidates who can work 30 hours a week (8.45am to 3.15pm).

Fairways is a two form entry primary school set in extensive beautiful grounds in Leigh on Sea that celebrates individuality, champions potential, and works tirelessly to ensure every pupil feels seen, supported, and valued. In addition to our fourteen classes we have a speech and language resource base which is an integral part of the school; the resource base children are included in all aspects of school life, with some fully included in mainstream classes.
