Learning Support Assistant - Blenheim Primary School


Contract Term: Permanent, Term Time + Inset Days

Start Date: September 2026

Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hours to be confirmed

Weeks: Term time only, plus inset days

Pay Scale: Level 4 Point 6 FTE £25,989

Actual salary: £18,266

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our happy, vibrant learning community. The role will involve supporting children with special educational needs as well as group and whole-class support.

The successful applicant will be:

an outstanding TA committed to supporting children with special educational needs in partnership with class teachers;
passionate about helping children to overcome a wide range of barriers to learning by thinking about their needs holistically;
able to think creatively to make learning exciting and relevant;
highly organised and able to manage their time effectively;
reflective practitioners who are keen to learn, develop, and improve their practice;
positive, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a wider team; and
educated to at least GCSE grade C/5 or equivalent in maths and English (an NVQ or equivalent in Learning Support or Early Years is also desirable).
