Thurrock Band C, Point 13 - 19

£24,559.06 - £28,150.40 actual salary per annum

35 hours per week - Monday to Friday 8:00am to 3:30pm
(30 minute unpaid lunch break)

38 weeks per year - Term time plus inset days

St Clere's School are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and flexible Cover Supervisor to support cover within the school. A candidate who has previous relevant experience would be at an advantage. St Clere's School has previously supported Cover Supervisors to complete their Teaching Training and progress to a teaching role within the school.

Key Duties of the role:

  • Supervising classes and supporting pupils
  • Delivering cover work set by the class teacher
  • Providing feedback to the classroom teacher on the pupil's progress against lesson plans, conduct of the lesson and keeping pupil related records
  • Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school's policies and procedures
  • Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher
  • Provide additional support to teachers in classrooms, to carry out administrative tasks when not covering a class
  • Act as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and behaviour and adhering to the schools behaviour management policy

St Clere’s Secondary School is located on the edge of Stanford-le-hope, surrounded by a large expanse of fields needed for a vast array of sports activities.
