Specialist Learning Support Assistant for pupils with hearing impairment

One-year fixed term contract

1st September 2024 until 31st August 2025

Salary: Band B Point 7 - 12

(£18,442.29 - £20,056.36 per annum)

32 hours 30 minutes per week

Monday - Friday, 8:15am - 3:15pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break

38 weeks of the year - term time + five additional days to be worked over the year, during school closure periods, to be agreed.

Start Date:September 2024

We are seeking a Specialist Learning Support Assistant to work with deaf children in the St Clere's Hearing Impaired Resource Base. You will provide communication and learning support for deaf students, ensuring their integration in the classroom and on the playground / sports field. You will also carry out small group intervention sessions within the Resource Base and create and adapt resources under the guidance of a Teacher of the Deaf. If you do not hold a BSL Level 2 qualification, training opportunities may be available for the right candidate.
