SEN Learning and Pastoral Support Assistant
Pay scale: Scale 3
Mayflower Primary School, Harwich, is seeking to appoint an experienced SEN Learning and Pastoral Support Assistant (LPSA) for 25 hours per week supporting the learning in the classroom for one year.
The post will involve working under the direction of the class teacher, assistant headteachers and headteacher.
The hours for the post include lunchtime supervision.
Our team is seeking someone who will:
- Be pasionate in supporting pupils with needs such as Learning Difficulties, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and Physical & Medical Needs.
- Be enthusiastic, confident and able to show initiative
- Be compassionate and patient
- Be able to work in partnership with SENCO, Class Teacher & external agencies
- Establish constructive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupil
- Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
- Hold at least an A - C pass in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalentBe able to work as part of a teamHave excellent communication skills
- Be energetic, enthusiastic and have a passion for supporting children with their learning
- Have a sense of humour

The Mayflower Primary School is two form entry. Our school is situated in Dovercourt, Harwich. We have good links with local schools, a strong Governing Body and supportive parents.
