Wishes to appoint a
Learning Support Assistant
Salary: Band A Point 1 - 6
(£15,010.70 - £16,066.42 actual salary per annum)
27 hours 5 minutes per week
8:40am - 3:10pm Monday - Friday
15-minute break and 50-minute unpaid lunch break
37 weeks of the year - term time only
Start Date: 6th January 2026
Fixed until 31st August 2026
We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our successful team, supporting pupils within the classroom environment. This is an exciting role for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact on children's education and future.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital part in enabling pupils to access learning by supervising and assisting them both one-to-one and in small group, across a range of activities. You will work closely with class teachers to support learning in line with the National Curriculum and help create an inclusive, positive learning experience for every child.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
· Strong communication skills to work effectively with colleagues.
· The ability to build positive, professional relationships with children and their families.
· A collaborative approach to class planning, with flexibility to adapt plans to meet individual needs.
· Excellent organisational skills.
· Effective behaviour management strategies.
· A good standard of English and Mathematics (GCSE grade 4-9 or equivalent preferred).
· Confidence in communicating with parents and attending professional meetings when required.
· Accurate record-keeping skills, including progress and medical information where necessary.
· A willingness to support pupils with personal care when needed.
· A genuine passion for the transformative impact of teaching and learning.
· A commitment to delivering education of the highest quality.

East Tilbury Primary School is located in the heart of East Tilbury, near the town centre, a short distance from the train station, which is on the C2C Line between Shoeburyness and Fenchurch Street Station. Parking is available on-site and there are good transport links by both rail and bus. East Tilbury Primary School is just over nine miles from the M25.

Information about the School
East Tilbury Primary School & Nursery converted to Academy Status in April 2012 as a partner in St Cleres Co-operative Academy Trust. We are a three/four form entry school in a semi-rural location, only a 5 minute walk from East Tilbury Station which is on the C2C Fenchurch - Shoeburyness Line. .
