At Dilkes Academy, we are seeking a dynamic, creative, and compassionate SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Lead to work with pupils aged 5-11 who face complex learning difficulties. Our school is committed to fostering an environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive. We are focused on providing a broad, ambitious curriculum tailored to each pupil's individual Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). These plans are developed collaboratively with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure that every learner's needs are met.

We are looking for a lead who is:

A confident and inspiring practitioner: Someone who can lead successful learning experiences that engage and motivate pupils.

An effectively line manage of support staff, ensuring that all pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs receive tailored, comprehensive support within the classroom, fostering an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive

Creative and practical: Capable of bringing learning to life through a hands-on, engaging curriculum that connects with pupils' needs and interests.

An excellent communicator: Someone who is committed to working collaboratively with children, staff, parents, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for students.

Dedicated to professional growth: Eager to continually develop their own skills and expertise, striving for excellence in everything they do.

A team player: Willing to contribute to the wider school community and actively participate in extracurricular activities.
