Wishes to appoint a
Learning Support Assistant
Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2026
Salary: Thurrock Band A Point 1-6
(£17,009.92 - £18,206.25 per annum)
8:45am - 3:15pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, Monday - Friday
30 hours per week
38 weeks of the year - term time plus inset days
START DATE: 3rd November 2025
Bonnygate Primary School wishes to appoint an inspiring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant who is highly motivated, creative, fun and has a good understanding of child development.
You will have a passion for working with pupils and assisting them on their journey. You will need to understand the subjects that you support the children in, be able to demonstrate a fair attitude and apply rules consistently as well as be confident in adjusting learning programs to meet the child's needs. You will be resilient, hardworking and have excellent de-escalation skills.
The successful candidate will be:
· Passionate, creative, and motivated with a positive outlook, able to remain calm under pressure.
· Committed to supporting pupils' learning, behaviour, emotional needs, and overall welfare.
· Dedicated to raising outcomes for all students through innovation and continuous improvement.
· A strong communicator with excellent organisational and written skills, able to multi-task effectively.
· An enthusiastic team player with good classroom management and a commitment to safeguarding.
· Able to follow safeguarding procedures and prioritise students' welfare
· Educated to GCSE Level in Maths and English and will have obtained Grade 4-9 or equivalent
· Resilient, hardworking and have excellent de-escalation skills
