· Provide specialist communication support through British Sign Language, transcription and other appropriate communication methods.
· Adapt learning materials and resources to meet individual needs and maximise access to the curriculum.
· Deliver targeted intervention programmes that support communication, language development, confidence and academic progress.
· Support students across the school day, including lessons, assessments, educational visits, performances, sports activities and social times.
· Monitor progress and contribute to planning, maintaining accurate records and working with colleagues to develop effective support strategies.
· Work collaboratively with teachers, families and external professionals to promote positive outcomes for students.
· Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of best practice, inclusion and continuous improvement.
We are seeking someone who is:
· Passionate about supporting deaf and hearing-impaired children and young people.
· An excellent communicator with strong BSL skills.
· Proactive, adaptable and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
