We are delighted that you are considering joining our team at St Michael's CofE Primary Academy, part of Canonium Learning Trust.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to support our most vulnerable pupils, helping them to make progress, develop confidence and enjoy their learning experience.

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to play a key role in delivering learning support within our exciting new Woodlands Room; a specialist provision designed to support children's academic, social and emotional development. The provision will be resourced with specialist materials, ensuring tailored support for each child's needs. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working under the direction of the SENDCo providing both 1:1 and group intervention support. Your role will involve working alongside our wider teaching team to create a nurturing and structured environment for our pupils.

At Canonium Learning Trust, we are committed to investing in your training and development, providing you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in your role. As part of your introduction to our Woodlands Room you will receive tailored training in the Pink Tower Approach.

We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn, implement innovative strategies and demonstrate patience and empathy in their practice. Experience in supporting vulnerable pupils and evidence of experience in implementing emotional regulation strategies will be highly valued.

Outside of the classroom this role uniquely offers you the opportunity to become involved in the school more widely with an element of your day dedicated to leading lunchtime games and activities.

We warmly welcome visits to the school, where you will have the opportunity to meet our Headteacher, Mr Taylor, and gain further insight into our vision and approach. If you are passionate about making a difference in children's lives and believe you have the skills and dedication we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.

Actual salary - £17,783 - £18,067 (£25,584- £25,992 FTE, pay award pending)

Working hours - Monday to Friday 8.40am - 3.10pm (lunch break 1 - 1.30pm)
