Trinity St Mary's C of E Primary School is a fantastic one form entry primary school in the heart of South Woodham Ferrers. We are looking to appoint an aspirational, energetic and driven professional, who is passionate about SEND and Inclusion to join our school from January 2027. You will bring an innovative and creative approach to supporting and enhancing SEN provision and effectively managing and developing the progress and achievement of our SEND pupils.

The successful applicant will ideally have completed the National Award for SEN Coordination. We will consider applications from outstanding classroom practitioners who are passionate about SEND, provided they are willing to complete the National Award for SEN Coordination within 3 years of appointment (as required by law).

The successful candidate will:

· be passionate about inclusion and special educational needs

· be an exemplary primary school teacher

· have experience of writing, reviewing and managing EHCPs

· have experience of multi-agency working including liaising with educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists etc

· be an excellent communicator with children, colleagues, governors, external agencies, professionals and parents

· have a strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice

· have knowledge of effective teaching and learning styles and how they can be used effectively for individual children

· ability to lead colleagues to further develop provision for SEND pupils

· have the skills to support and train staff to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and other areas of need

· have excellent planning and organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines

· have resilience and the ability to work under pressure

This position is permanent for one day per week and the day will be agreed with the successful applicant.
