Canonium Learning Trust is seeking an enthusiastic, organised and reliable Wraparound Care Play Leader to lead our before and after school provisionat St Peter's CE Primary Academy in West Hanningfield. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can thrive beyond the school day.
As the Wraparound Care Play Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the provision, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and enrichment.
You will plan and deliver a varied programme of activities and build positive relationships with children, families, and school staff.
We are looking for individuals who:
- have excellent organisational and communication skills
- have the confidence to work independently and use initiative
- have a warm, caring and positive approach
- have a good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and child protection procedures
- can plan engaging activities that support children's interests, wellbeing and development
Our wraparound care provision operates before and after school each day. The morning session is from 7:30am - 8:40am per day, and the afternoon session is from 3:15pm - 6pm each day.
The salary is £11,852.91 per annum, term time only (Scale 3).

Information about the School
St Peter’s Church of England (VA) Primary School has just recently joined the Canonium Learning Trust in April 2025.
St Peter's is a small church school of 4 classes set in the village of West Hanningfield. We are a welcoming, caring Christian family who take pride in each others' achievements. Our school is a calm, purposeful learning environment that enables children to achieve their potential in all areas of the curriculum. We enjoy positive and supportive relationships with governors, parents, the local community and churches. It is essential that any candidate is supportive of the school's Christian ethos.
