We are looking for an experienced, confident and efficient Admin Assistant to join our school office team for 2 days per week from September 2026. This is a permanent position.
The role involves providing comprehensive administrative support, first aid provision, and front-of-house services in our busy and vibrant school. You will also support the School Business Manager with finance-related administration, including acting as the first point of contact for dinner money and after-school club enquiries.
This post is for 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time, plus 2 INSET days and 2 days during the summer holidays).
One of your working days must be a Friday. The second working day is flexible and will be agreed in collaboration with the other part-time colleague.
Working hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Actual salary: £9,254.94 - £9,705.42 (FTE £25,989 - £27,254), depending on experience (Scale 3/4, points 6-9).
You will join a supportive staff team and work with friendly and caring children and parents.
This is an important role within the school, and the successful candidate must:

- Adapt to changing priorities and demands
- Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Engage positively with parents and the wider school community
- Handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Hold a minimum of GCSE grade A-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Have strong IT skills, including Word and Excel
- Understand the importance of safeguarding
The role is varied, with key duties including managing reception and providing efficient clerical and welfare support to the school, its staff, and stakeholders.
Previous experience in a school setting, knowledge of SIMS and ParentPay (or similar systems), and a First Aid qualification would be advantageous; however, training will be provided.
