Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Speech & Language Intervention

We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our inclusive and nurturing school community. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our Director for Inclusion, SENCO and teaching staff to deliver high-quality speech and language support that transforms outcomes for pupils.
The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and delivering specialist interventions, enabling children with speech, language and communication needs to develop the confidence and skills they need to thrive both academically and socially.
About the Role
As our Speech & Language HLTA, you will:
Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and Director for Inclusion as part of a professional support team.
Plan, prepare and deliver effective speech and language interventions for identified pupils.
Use your specialist knowledge and skills to accelerate pupil progress.
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and respond to pupil outcomes.
Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, providing clear feedback to support future planning.
Contribute to a culture of inclusion where every child is supported to succeed.
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, families and external professionals.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience of supporting children with speech, language and communication needs.
Holds HLTA status or equivalent experience.
Has a strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practice.
Can plan and deliver engaging interventions that make a measurable impact.
Is caring, patient and committed to helping every child achieve their best.
Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
