We require an enthusiastic, friendly and reliable individual to join our school as an SEN 1:1 LSA on a fixed term contract. The hours will be Mondays - Fridays, 8.30am-12.00, 1.00pm - 3.15pm term times only. This position will be paid at Scale 4, Point 6, equating to an actual gross salary of £12,933pa.
We have a delightful pupil with additional needs joining us in September and they will be requiring full time adult support. To help with transition, the local authority are supporting our request to employ an SEN LSA this term.
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour. In return we can offer a happy school with well-behaved children and a friendly and supportive team.
Our preferred candidate will ideally have experience of using British Sign Language (level 2 BSL desirable)
Duties will include:
· Supporting communication needs of an individual child
· Light manual handling
· Basic intimate care
· Participation in delivering and assessing the EYFS curriculum
Experience of working in Early Years or Key Stage 1 is desirable, however full training will be provided for the right individual. Training and support will also be available for supporting the pupils' additional needs.
