Canewdon C of E Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner (with key holderresponsibility) to join the team as soon as possible.

The hours are 4pm to 6pm Monday to Friday, 10 hours per week, term time plus 5 weeks during school closure periods (44 weeks per year).

Salary Scale 2, Point 3 (Range 3-4) Actual Salary: £6,476 per annum (including paid annual leave, which must be taken during school closure periods).

· be a team player who works hard and takes pride in the appearance and maintenance of the school's premises

· be an enthusiastic, approachable, highly motivated and flexible individual who possesses general building cleaning and maintenance skills and understand the confidential nature of working in a school environment

· have a basic level of IT skills - to access the school alarm, diary and emails etc.

· possess good organisational and communication skills and the ability to show initiative as well as work as part of a team

· have an awareness of COSHH, safe manual handling practices and Health and Safety

You will be expected to lock and alarm the site at the end of each shift.
