Forest School Practitioner
1 Day per week ( 5 hours a day with 1 hour unpaid lunch and 15 minute unpaid break) term time only.
Scale 5, point 10 FTE £27694 PA, pro-rata £3122
We are looking for a Forest School Practitioner to lead sessions on our school site and off site location near the school. Forest School is an embedded part of our ethos and we want to continue on what has been a really successful year of Forest School to our whole school.
You will be leading sessions for groups of children from Reception - Year 6, with additional adults from class to support you. We have invested in lots of great kit so resources for tools, fire, shelters and more are all available for you to use on site. We have two spaces that we use for Forest School, one in our wild life area on site and one in some local woodlands. Our children LOVE Forest School, and you will also have supportive management that will be happy to ensure that you can restock marshmallows when needed! You will have autonomy to lead child-led sessions in the true Forest School ethos and adapt as you see fit for our children. We are lucky to have lots of outdoor green space so there's plenty of room for games and exploration.
We are looking for someone who is Level 3 trained and ideally with experience across the age range that we have in school.
All appointments are subject to safer‑recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS and satisfactory references.
