Learning Support Assistant (Post‑16 / Complex Needs)
We are looking for resilient Learning Support Assistants to support teenagers and Post‑16 learners who find the world a challenging and difficult place to navigate.
You will provide bespoke, individualised support, helping learners build independence, regulate emotions, and stay engaged in their programmes. The role involves working confidently with challenging behaviour and supporting students with complex needs, under the guidance of a class teacher.
What You'll Do
Support teenagers and Post‑16 learners through personalised daily routines.
Use bespoke strategies to reduce barriers to learning.
Maintain a calm, consistent approach when behaviour becomes challenging.
Work as part of a supportive team of teachers and therapists.

Salary and working pattern information:
27.75 hours per week Monday to Friday 9:00 to 3:15pm term time only (38 weeks) plus one Wednesday a month to 4:30pm (usually the first Wednesday of the month)
Local Government pay scale 4 points 7-8
Actual salary £16,520 to £16,784 (Full time equivalent £26,403 to £26,824)
