Higher Level Teacher Assistant (HLTA)
We are seeking a dynamic and highly IT-literate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students through tailored interventions in subject areas such as English, Maths, and Social Communication, and will be instrumental in customising digital and physical learning resources to meet individual learning needs.
The successful candidate will need to have GCSE qualification grade C/level 5 or above, or equivalent, in English and Maths. Additionally, the successful candidate will hold the HLTA/L4 Teaching Assistant qualification or be willing to achieve it within 12 months of appointment.
The pay band for the role is Scale 5 (scp 9 to 12), which is £27,254 to £28,598.The hours of work for the role will be 28 hours per week, Monday to Friday and this will be required term time, plus five staff training days (39 weeks in total), working between the hours of 8.55 am to 3.30 pm, with one afternoon working to 4.00 pm. The actual salary for the role (inclusive of holiday pay) is £17,681.66 to £18,553.61, (under 5 years' service) or £17,919 to £18,802.65 (over 5 years' service).
