A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Ofsted 'Outstanding' Colchester Teacher Training Consortium (CTTC) team as an Assistant Director. This vacancy has arisen due to expansion of CTTC's ITT provision. The role will oversee the Primary undergraduate ITT route, delivered in partnership with the University of Suffolk, while also contributing to the delivery and development of the existing postgraduate ITT programme.
The Assistant Director will be an enthusiastic, dynamic and well-organised professional, leading the development of primary trainee teachers on the undergraduate course. The role will also provide a vital link between CTTC, the University of Suffolk and partner schools, ensuring consistency, alignment with CTTC values, and high-quality support.
The Assistant Director will be based at CTTC and will be required to travel to the University of Suffolk and placement schools as required.
The successful candidate will have experience in the primary sector and will be hard-working, passionate and reliable.

Information about the School
Colchester County High School for Girls is part of Alpha Trust. It is a selective state school for academically able students aged from 11 to 18 years which consistently achieves public examination results at the highest level and Ofsted "Outstanding". Admission to the school is via the 11+ examination in Year 7; the school also admits academic students into the Sixth Form. The school is lead for the North East Essex Teaching School Alliance and Colchester Teacher Training Consortium is based on the site. Situated a mile to the west of central Colchester, the school is set in its own extensive grounds on a large, quiet campus.
