Harwich and Dovercourt High School are seeking to appoint a Lead Practitioner in Mathematics to play a key role in strengthening teaching and learning across the faculty and wider school.
HDHS is a popular 11-16 comprehensive school situated on the north-east Essex coast and part of The Sigma Trust.

A Day in the Life:
You'll be responsible for bringing your passion and expertise to the following areas:
- Model exceptional, research-informed teaching practice
- Lead improvement in teaching and learning across the faculty
- Coach and mentor colleagues to strengthen classroom practice
- Support the development of teachers at all stages of their career
- Lead structured quality assurance, including lesson observation and work scrutiny
- Analyse performance data to inform strategic improvement
- Contribute to whole-school CPD
- Teach a reduced but impactful timetable
This is a visible, practice-focused role requiring credibility in the classroom and the professional skill to influence and support others.

- Hold Qualified Teacher Status
