SITE ASSISTANT

Pay Range: Local Government Scale 3

Actual Salary from: £24,790 - £25,183 (Points 5-6)

Start Date: As soon as possible

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Site Assistant to join the established Site Team. The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of duties including carrying out first line repairs and maintenance, lettings supervision, site security, porterage and some cleaning. The ability to work without supervision is essential.

  • This is a full-time post (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year) on a shift basis. Hours may be variable to suit needs of the job and include a split shift, AM and PM working pattern.

We're looking for you if:

  • You have experience of caretaking and/or buildings maintenance and security
  • You have the ability to manage your own time effectively and demonstrate a flexible, proactive approach
  • You have experience of Health & Safety procedures and codes of practice
  • You are able to carry out first line repairs and maintenance.

St Helena School, part of the Sigma Trust, is a highly-regarded 11-16 co-educational Academy, recognised as Good by Ofsted in 2014 and now on a journey to Outstanding. Located on 17 acres in historic Colchester, the school has a fine blend of traditional and modern facilities and opened a £2.5m new Science block in 2015, and a £2.5m all weather pitch facility in February 2016.
