Job Title: Primary Liaison and Pastoral Assistant
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Term: 37 hours per week /40 weeks per year (term time including inset days + 1 week holiday working)
Salary Range: £27,254 - £28,598 (Actual Salary £23,939 - £25,120 PA)

We are seeking a caring, proactive, and organised Primary Liaison and Pastoral Assistant to join our pastoral team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building strong relationships with our partner primary schools and supporting students as they move into Year 7.
The successful candidate will support the smooth transition of pupils from primary to secondary school, working closely with staff, students, and families to ensure every child feels prepared, included, and supported. You will also contribute to the wider pastoral provision within school, helping respond to student needs, maintaining accurate records, and supporting positive behaviour and attendance.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local primary schools, coordinating visits, events, and transition activities.
- Support Year 6 pupils and their families through the transition process, ensuring they receive timely information, reassurance, and guidance.
- Contribute to the pastoral care of students within school, including monitoring wellbeing, supporting behaviour systems, and liaising with staff and families.
- Assist with pastoral administration, record-keeping, and communication with parents and external agencies.
