Teacher of Girls' Physical Education

(Maternity Cover ECT/TMS/UPS)

Required from January 2026 for a fixed term to cover maternity leave. This post is suitable for either an Early Career Teacher or a more experienced professional. We would welcome both full time and part time applications.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher to join our dedicated and high attaining girls' PE department. A commitment to contribute to extensive extra-curricular sports provision is essential. ECT's will benefit from our well-developed support programmes. You will enjoy working with our motivated, well-behaved students and with a supportive and hard-working team who have a proven track record in student achievement at all levels.

The FitzWimarc School is a heavily over-subscribed 11 - 18 mixed comprehensive school with an excellent reputation in the local area due to student achievements, the school's ethos and its commitment and involvement with the community. The school has a history of sporting excellence and is proud of the ethos it has created around sport and exercise.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with good interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students. A strong team player, self-motivated and committed to continuing professional development.
