Bespoke Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Engaines Primary and nursery School Job Type: Full-time (term-time only) Working Hours: 08:30 - 15:15, term-time only Salary: Pay dependent on experience
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Bespoke Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated support for a pupil with complex needs. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced practitioner who can deliver consistent, personalised support and work closely with the SEND team, external professionals and the pupil's family.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide personalised support for a child with complex needs throughout the school day.
· Implement strategies from external agencies (e.g. SALT, OT, EP) under guidance from the SENDCo.
· Support communication, emotional regulation and sensory needs.
· Contribute to EHCP targets, evidence gathering and reviews.
· Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider pastoral team.
· Promote inclusion, independence and pupil wellbeing at all times.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
· Previous experience supporting pupils with complex or high-level SEND.
· Knowledge of strategies for communication, sensory processing and emotional regulation.
· A calm, nurturing and adaptable approach.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
· Reliability and resilience to work in a bespoke, high-needs role.
