We are looking for a teacher (ECT's welcome to apply) that wants to work in a lovely community based schoool in Little Clacton. The post is a full year maternity cover, starting in September 2025, and it could be in Early years, KS1 or KS2, depending on the candidates strengths.
Engaines Primary School is a vibrant and forward-thinking primary school located in a beautiful setting. A popular over-subscribed school with 284 pupils on roll and an additional 31 in the Nursery, Engaines is a thriving community that values the individual needs of each child.
Engaines was graded as 'Good' by Ofsted (Dec 2022) The school is committed to continuous improvement, with a focus on staff development, narrowing the gap for disadvantaged learners, and sustaining progress for pupils with SEND.
We are seeking an exceptional Class Teacher to join our dedicated and talented team at Engaines Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils, in our community whether you are a newly qualified or experienced teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote a love of learning and intellectual curiosity
- Adaptive teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND, EAL, and high ability
- Use formative and summative assessment to track pupil progress and plan subsequent lessons
- Maintain a safe, well-managed, and positive learning environment
- Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- A good sense of humour
Desirable Qualities:
- Experience teaching in the Early Years, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2
- Expertise in a specific subject area or curriculum specialism
- Commitment to continuous professional development
