We are seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing, and committed Reception Class Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive school community. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality early years education and making a lasting impact on children at the very start of their learning journey.
You will be responsible for creating a stimulating, safe, and engaging learning environment that supports the development of all pupils in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum
- Create a warm and inclusive classroom environment that supports children's social, emotional, and academic development
- Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, maintaining accurate records
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and leadership
- Build positive relationships with parents/carers and communicate effectively about pupil progress
- Support the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils at all timesContribute to wider school life, including events and enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching in an Early Years setting (preferable but not essential for ECTs)
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
- A nurturing and patient approach with excellent classroom management skills
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for early years education
- Strong communication and teamwork skillsA commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
