37 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year

Are you practical, proactive and take pride in maintaining safe, welcoming environments? Do you enjoy solving problems and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes? If so, we'd love you to join us at Lift Tendring.

As a School Facilities Manager, you will:

  • Ensure the school site is safe, secure, clean and well maintained every day.
  • Carry out minor repairs, maintenance and site improvement works.
  • Open and close the school site and act as a key holder, responding to emergency call-outs where required.
  • Support statutory compliance by carrying out routine health and safety, fire safety and site inspections.
  • Monitor contractors on site and report larger maintenance issues through the Trust's facilities management system.
  • Prepare the school for events and support the day-to-day operational needs of the academy.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in premises, facilities or building maintenance.
  • Good practical DIY and maintenance skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and site security.
  • Someone who is organised, reliable and able to prioritise their workload.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills who can also work independently.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and maintaining high standards across the school site.
