Hours of work: SENDCo - 0.6fte (3 days per week) Classroom Teacher - 0.4fte (2 days per week)
Elmstead Primary School is a Good 'Ofsted September 2019' and successful school. We offer a welcoming and stimulating environment that encourages children to be confident learners who enjoy new learning experiences and are proud to be part of their school and community.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and inspirational SENDCo to work three days per week. The role will be non-class based and the SENDCo will be responsible for leading and managing SEN and inclusion in the school including supporting, planning and implementation of interventions, analysing data and liaising effectively with outside agencies.
We also are looking to appoint an engaging and enthusiastic Teacher to work two days per week, who can inspire our children and give them the best possible education.
We are happy to consider applications from those wishing for a full time position to be split across both roles above. Alternatively, we'd also like to hear from those who wish to apply for either one of the roles as a part time worker. Please make your preference clear on the application form.
We wish to appoint someone who:
• will be able to take a strong lead in the areas of SEN and inclusion across the school
• has a thorough knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice
• has the ability to work strategically alongside the Senior Leadership Team in order to drive school improvement for our most vulnerable pupils and staff
• can work with colleagues to further enhance our plan of provision, support and intervention, leading to effective practice across the whole staff
• will ensure that effective support enables all children to succeed
• has high expectations for all children's attainment and behaviour
• is creative and inspirational in their approach to teaching strategies and teaching
• has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
• works collaboratively as part of a team
• is highly motivated, enthusiastic and energetic
