Holland Haven Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated and proactive Site Manager to join our team and ensure the smooth running of our school premises. This is a key role in maintaining a safe, secure and well managed environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

About the Role

This will be a part time job share and will require the successful applicant to work in collaboration with the existing Site Manager via a communication book or Google. The role will be for 30 hours a week (usually from 12.15pm - 6.15pm daily) but will need to be flexible during school closure times.

This will be an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual with a 'can do' attitude to join our happy and hardworking team.

The successful candidate will:

Be caring, resourceful, reliable, self-motivated and will take great pride in our school premises and grounds and have the ability to work not only on their own initiative, but also with another Site Manager.

Have excellent organisational skills.

Possess a hard working positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Have an aptitude for practical work and possess good DIY skills.

Enjoy new challenges in a varied and busy school environment.

Be reliable, have energy & vision and take pride in their work.

Have the ability to adjust to the needs of the role and show flexibility and initiative when necessary, including possible flexibility in hours to cover sickness absence.

Have good IT skills.

Communicate effectively with a range of people including children, staff visitors and external agencies.

Ideally, hold a current clean driving licence as regular banking will be part of the role.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Ensuring that the school site is safe, clean and tidy to provide a high-quality learning environment for our children.

Undertaking preventative maintenance and repairs.

Acting as one of the main key holders, with responsibility for locking and unlocking the school site.

Acting as one of the nominated alarm contact for the school and be contactable during unsociable hours to receive emergency callouts.

Taking a key role in Health and Safety checks and monitoring, including Fire, Legionella and play equipment with input to COSHH and Risk Assessments.

Monitoring the school cleaners.

Monitoring and ordering of cleaning supplies.

Managing the school grounds and overseeing the external grounds team.

Overseeing external contractors, servicing works and small projects.

Adhering to and upholding all school policies in particular Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
