About the role:
We are looking for a well-qualified, passionate scientist to join our highly successful science faculty.Triple science is a popularoptionat G.C.S.E. and there is a strong uptake forall 3 sciencesat A level.
Science isalarge,forward-looking faculty; staff arevery supportiveof each other. Good practice and resourcesareshared regularly.Avery experienced Head of Faculty provides strong leadership.Facilities for teaching scienceare superb.There are seven laboratories in the main building and a purpose- built, modernscience block whichcontainsfour laboratories and a general classroom.Everyroom hasasmart screen.Comprehensive schemes of learningarein placeand thereareisfive technicians,includinga Senior Technician and a specialist for each of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
The post is suitable for an ECT or an experienced teacher.The successful candidate will teach science up to and including G.C.S.E. A Level teaching may also be available.Thisroleis subject to an enhancedDBS check and is not suitable for anyone who has been barred in any way from working with children.
