About the role:

Moulsham High School is a larger than average 11-18 comprehensive school where all students consistently achieve highly.

Overall progress and attainment have been well above Essex and national averages for the last 8 years. 2025's G.C.S.E. results placed us in the top 9% of all schools nationally. In October 2024 Ofsted said that: 'The mutual respect shown between pupils and staff ensures that learning takes place in a cordial environment. Classrooms are welcoming places.'

We are looking for a well-qualified drama teacher, with a commitment to continuing professional development, to join our highly successful and dedicated Performing Arts Faculty. This is a unique opportunity to work with an extremely supportive, talented and innovative drama team. Drama boasts two drama studios, one of which has specialist lighting and sound facilities for students to use. The Auditorium venue is also used for showcases and productions. Drama remains a popular options choice in Years 10 and 11. Theatre Studies is offered as a post-16 option.

The successful candidate will teach drama across Key Stage 3. Some Key Stage 4 teaching may also be available. The post is suitable for either an E.C.T. or a more experienced teacher. Visits to the school prior to application are most welcome and can be arranged using the contact details below.
