We areseeking to appoint a non-teaching Assistant Head of Year for 37 hpw, during term time only (38 weeks). The main focus of the post is to assist the Head of Year in ensuring the year group has a sense of purpose, unity and cohesion in order to fulfil the aims of Woodlands School and raise pupil achievement. The successful candidate would be responsible for matters of discipline and contacting parents when necessary although this would be under the direction of the Head of Year.
The successful candidate will have the ability to assist in leading a year group and work well with the Head of Year, the Attendance and Pastoral Teams and use pupil data effectively. This is a role for a person of vision and energy with good communication and organisational skills and a determination to make a difference.
Compass Education Trust is currently engaged in discussions which are expected to result in the transfer of all schools to Harris Federation with effect from 1 September 2026. Any employment commencing from 1 September 2026 will not be directly impacted under TUPE, but if the proposed transfer proceeds, it is anticipated that your employment will commence with Harris Federation rather than Compass Education Trust. Further details will be discussed with you at the interview stage.
